Green Day is a punk rock band from Northern California that include members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool. Green Day has sold about 60 million records worldwide, 21 million in the US . The band's first mainstream success came with their album Dookie in 1993. They are credited with helping to revive mainstream interest in punk rock during the mid 1990's.
